Prime Minister of Egypt Mustafa Madbouly called on Chinese companies to expand investment in Egypt, with a focus on electric vehicles, desalination and renewable energy. This is reported Daily News Egypt, TV BRICS Partner.

It is noted that the head of government met with senior Chinese officials in Tianjin during the meeting summit Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). He praised Beijing’s role in developing Egypt’s infrastructure and industry and invited Chinese companies to build electric vehicle factories in the Suez Canal economic zone.
Madbouly also held talks with the chairman of the board of a Chinese chemical company operating in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. A company spokesman said he intends to increase investment in Egypt, especially in fertilizer production, citing the country’s strategic position and favorable trade agreements.
In addition, the Egyptian prime minister met with representatives of a large Chinese energy company to discuss cooperation in the field of renewable energy. He proposed building a plant in the economic zone of the Suez Canal, which would help develop clean energy in Egypt. The company expressed interest in expanding operations.
