“The TV BRICS media network prioritizes the promotion of topics on strengthening technological sovereignty, development of science and education in the international information field. These are some of the key factors that directly affect the quality of life of people and state progress. We saw a high interest from the BRICS+ countries in the first season of the Laboratorium TV project, which tells about complex scientific developments in simple language, which became the basis for continuing the series. In the second season, we focus on testing unique technologies in real conditions, experimentally confirming their performance and effectiveness”

The second season of Laboratorium has 13 programs of 13 minutes each. The new episodes will focus on inventions in the fields of space technology, agriculture, housing and communal services, ecology and healthcare. The continuation of the series was also created using artificial intelligence: the host Lyuba, generated by a neural network, helps to understand the topic.

The first season of the Laboratorium program was shown by TV BRICS media partners in 11 countries: Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Egypt, Iran, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, China, Mozambique, Russia and South Africa. The series was aired in the largest national and regional media in their countries, for example, on the ANTV channel of the National Assembly of Venezuela, the Brazilian Com Brasil TV channels, the South African Durban TV channel , the Iranian Tehran Times and the Chinese portal Dongbeiwan. ” The Laboratorium program is of great interest to us. Its content is closely related to everyday life: many scientific facts directly related to our everyday life are explained to viewers. It not only promotes the popularization of scientific knowledge, but also introduces the latest discoveries and advanced technologies in this field. The program material is structured in such a way that it is easy to perceive: even viewers without special training, thanks to the skillful work of the authors and directors, become able to understand professional information,” said Zhang Rui (China), head of the “Partners” website of the Dongbeiwan information portal .

“We were very enthusiastic about the first season of the Laboratorium program. Our viewers appreciated the opportunity to delve into the topic of science and technology in an easy and attractive form, to learn about achievements that often remain outside the media agenda. Such content not only arouses curiosity, but also provides grounds for reflection on the role of innovation in a multipolar world. We are sure that the second season of the program will be perceived with even greater interest,” says Ivone Alves Garcia (Argentina), co-founder of the Humo y Espejos Internet channel .

“Laboratorium is a well-structured and relevant series that responds to global trends in science communication. Its digital-first strategy is an effective tool for engaging modern audiences. The program’s ability to cover a wide range of topics while maintaining a clear and engaging narrative is a testament to its high quality. The series is a valuable resource for informing and inspiring viewers, revealing the transformative power of science and technology,” said Mohamed Samir Khedr, Executive Editor of Daily News Egypt (Egypt).

The Laboratorium cycle was launched in the Year of the Russian Federation’s presidency in BRICS and during the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia. The media project is being implemented in accordance with the state program “Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation” with the support of JSC “Popov Radio Corporation”.

The Laboratorium program (from the Latin laboratorium – “laboratory” ) tells about the achievements of university and academic science, successful scientific and technological companies and popularizes the profession of a scientist. In 2024, the project was presented to the participants of the IV Congress of Young Scientists and the IX Forum of Young Scientists of the BRICS countries, which were held in Russia with the information support of TV BRICS.

In 2025, the director of the Laboratorium series, Andrei Gula, was nominated for the All-Russian Prize “For Loyalty to Science” .

The second season of the program will be broadcast from September to December 2025 on TV BRICS on Wednesdays, starting at 12.15, 17.00 and 22.30.
