The second UN Summit on Food Systems (UNFSS+4) took place in Addis Ababa. At the meeting, a report «The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World» for 2025 was presented.
The report provides updated data on the cost and availability of healthy diets and analyses trends affecting the implementation of the sustainable development goals of ending hunger and all forms of malnutrition by 2030.

President of Ethiopia Taye Atzke Selassie the summit called for coordinated efforts at the national, regional and global levels to address food security challenges and ensure access to nutritious food for all.
In turn, the Prime Minister of the Republic Abiy Ahmed presented a comprehensive reform roadmap for Ethiopia, covering land use policy, agriculture and agrarian finance. According to him, more than 700 specific initiatives are being implemented aimed at providing all citizens of the country with safe and varied food.
