Indonesia targets 5.4% economic growth in 2026 via investment and exports

The Indonesian government is preparing a set of measures to achieve the 5.4 per cent economic growth target for 2026 announced by President Prabowo Subianto. This is reported by Antara News.

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati detailed the strategies during a press conference on the 2026 Draft State Budget (APBN) and Financial Notes in Jakarta.

“We will look into sources of economic growth to pursue the 5.4 percent target,” Indrawati stated.

She highlighted investment as a key driver. According to the Minister, the Finance Ministry will work with the Ministry of Home Affairs to support regional economies by providing incentives for local governments to strengthen investment appeal.

In addition, the government plans to stimulate growth through digitalisation, the use of artificial intelligence, and the development of mineral resources.
