SPEECH BY THE YOUTHS FOR PRESIDENCY MOVEMENT ON AFRICA LIBERATION DAY

– MAY 25, 2025 AT LUSAKA, ZAMBIA HOSTED BY STATE 55 AFRICA

Revolutionary Greetings beloved Africans, Brothers and Sisters in the Struggle!

Trust we are well and safe!

I am Amb. Umudjere Africaman and I am the Convener of the Youths for Presidency Movement, a Pan African Youth Movement with the corporate intentions to explore, groom and avail Africa Youths as prospective torch bearers of Africa full freedom

Today, I join the hosts of all meaning Pan Africans worldwide to commemorate this day that signifies the proposed end to Africa colonialism!

Today, we stand not just in remembrance – but in resistance.

On this sacred day, Africa Liberation Day, we do not merely recall the courage of our forefathers who fought colonial chains. We summon their spirit into the battlefield of today – where neo-colonialism wears suits, corruption kills quietly, and poverty is designed, not destined.

We are the Youths for Presidency Movement, and we declare this: Liberation is not complete until the youth are in power!

Africa is the umbrella continent in the world, but the corridors of power remain clogged by the relics of a past afraid of the future. For too long, the dreams of African youth have been exiled. Our voices have been patronized. Our potential- politicized. But no more!

We are not the leaders of tomorrow!

We are the power of today!

We rise not with weapons, but with wisdom.

Not with hate, but with hope

Not to destroy, but to build a continent that works for us, by us, with us.

To us in this room the decision of our future must rely on the following demands:

  1. Where leadership is earned through vision, not age
  2. Where public offices serve people, not pockets.
  3. Where education empowers, not enslaves.
  4. Where youth are not statistics in unemployment reports but stakeholders in national progress.

This Liberation Day, we break free not from colonial masters, but from mental slavery, recycled leadership, and imposed helplessness.

We call on all African youth from Cape to Cairo, Lagos to Mogadishu, Kinshasa to Harare; organize, mobilize, and rise. Let our campuses be hotbeds of innovation, our streets be rivers of unity, our ballots be weapons of peaceful revolution.

They say we are too young!

We say we are too aware!

They say we lack experience!

We say we’ve had enough of theirs!

They say wait your turn!

We say – our time is now!

To the elders, we say: walk with us, not in front of us. Mentor us, do not muzzle us. Pass the torch, do not smother it.

Africa’s liberation is not a page in history; it is a promise unfulfilled.

In the names of Thomas Sankara, Patrice Lumumba, Kwame Nkrumah, Steve Biko, and all the martyrs of freedom, we vow:

We will not rest until Africa rises – with its youth at the helm of affairs

Power to a Liberated Africa!

Long Live Africa Liberation Day!

Long Live the Youths for Presidency Movement!

Forward Ever, Backward Never!

Africa will rise again!

Aseeeeeeeeeee!

Signed
