The presidents of Brazil and Russia discussed cooperation in BRICS

President of Russia Vladimir Putin and his Brazilian counterpart Luis Inacio Lula da Silva we held telephone conversations. During the conversation, which lasted 40 minutes, they discussed bilateral cooperation and the development of interaction in BRICS. This is reported Agência Brasil.

Putin thanked Brazil for the successful unification summit, which took place in July in Rio de Janeiro. The leaders also confirmed plans to hold a meeting of the joint cooperation commission in 2025.

Last week, other BRICS leaders also held telephone conversations. Putin discussed with the President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa strengthening strategic partnerships between countries. Also Putin considered it with the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping preparations for the SCO summit in Tianjin.

Lula da Silva too he spoke by phone with the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. In the conversation, the leaders expressed their intention to develop cooperation in trade, technology, energy, agriculture and healthcare.
