UAE handed over Zimbabwe medical equipment to improve emergency assistance

Zimbabwe received medical equipment from the UAE in the amount of 700 thousand US dollars (54.6 million rubles). This will improve the quality of emergency assistance throughout the country, African Times, partner of the TV BRICS network.

The transfer of equipment took place on July 10 in Harare with the participation of Zimbabwean Health Minister Sleiman Quidini, as well as the UAE Ambassador to the country, Jassim Muhammad Al Kasimi. 74 ventilators (ventilators) for intensive care units were transferred, as well as 34 tons of basic medical supplies.

In a statement, Quidini stressed that this equipment will help patients with life-threatening diseases.

It is noted that now Zimbabwe is undergoing modernization of the health system. According to Quidini, this donation contributes to the achievement of the country’s medical support goals, reducing the burden on the state hospitals of the country.

In turn, Al Kasimi confirmed the UAE’s readiness to provide Zimbabwe with support.
