TV BRICS starts a content exchange with the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, thereby expanding its information presence in the Latin American region. The first partner of the international media network in that country is the leading socio-political online newspaper “Diario la R”, owned by the media holding “Grupo R Multimedio”. The cooperation agreement was signed by the CEO of TV BRICS, Janna Tolstikova, and Juan Carlos Blanco, Director General of “Grupo R Multimedio”. Uruguay will thus gain direct access to up-to-date information on the activities of BRICS member states and partners and will be able to promote its own agenda in the international media sphere.

“Content exchange between media outlets not only enriches the information agenda but also strengthens cooperation, helping to create a more robust and diverse media ecosystem. Our media outlets have decided to work together on the analysis and coverage of topics of mutual interest, such as economics, politics, and culture, especially in the context of the expanded geography of BRICS,” noted Juan Carlos Blanco, Director General of “Grupo R Multimedio”.
” Diario la R” is the only free online newspaper in Uruguay. It has been present in the media market for over 35 years, originally published under the name “La República”. Its headquarters are in the capital of the republic, Montevideo. “Diario la R” publishes national and international news, analytical articles, and expert opinions on socio-political topics.
“We are pleased to begin information exchange with Uruguay through cooperation with the reputable online publication ‘Diario la R’, which has been creating and publishing high-quality and up-to-date media materials for many years. The Republic’s joining the ranks of TV BRICS partners will significantly expand the Latin American agenda in the international media space. Uruguay is a dynamically developing country with a rich culture and literary and artistic traditions, which will undoubtedly be of interest to a foreign audience. Through TV BRICS, ‘Diario la R’ will be able to receive and publish more objective information on interstate cooperation in the BRICS+ format and widely broadcast news and its Republic’s position through the media network,” noted Anastasia Shishkalova, Head of TV BRICS’ Latin America department.
Uruguay has become the 29th country to join the cooperation with TV BRICS. In the Latin American and Caribbean region, media outlets from Argentina, Venezuela, Cuba, Mexico, and Chile also work with the media network.
