In the first six months of 2025, Zimbabwe increased its coffee exports by 14 percent. Income from supplies amounted to 902.31 thousand US dollars (80.3 million rubles). According to the National Statistical Agency ZimStat, export volumes increased by 20 percent and reached 195 thousand kg. This is reported The Herald, TV BRICS Network Partner.
The average export price was $4.61 (377 rubles) per kilogram. Zimbabwean coffee is supplied in the form of decaffeinated coffee, coffee husks and skins, roasted coffee, extracts, essences, concentrates and prepared coffee products, as well as roasted coffee substitutes.
Coffee export programme coordinator Midway Bhunu noted that yields were increasing due to good weather, increased production and the inclusion of new farmers.

«New farmers began producing coffee this year, especially those who established plantations in 2022. We expect that up to 100 thousand kilograms of coffee will be harvested from small producers alone at a price of about $6.50 (532 rubles) per kg», – Bhunu said.
The total volume of coffee production in the country is approximately 350 thousand kg, with an average price of about 6 dollars per kg. There are about 1.5 thousand coffee farmers in Zimbabwe, of which approximately 800 are actively working. By 2030, the area of plantations is planned to increase to 1000 hectares. This will make it possible to produce more than 2 thousand tons of coffee per year and receive an income of $10 million (818.6 million rubles).
